My experience teaching children has taught me that a lot of patience is required to listen to what the kids are trying to express. Additionally, always providing a smile and making them feel comfortable in the teaching environment is of utmost importance as this will allow them to express themselves more freely. The children also require the teacher to be extremely creative and provide an exciting way of teaching to create enthusiasm within the virtual classroom. The aforementioned point is important because the kids need to be stimulated and shown that learning another language is not a boring and mundane takes, but rather fun and exciting to learn. Some adults require many different methods of getting a certain message across to them, the key is to identify which method is most effective to the adult learner and incorporate that with the method of teaching illustrated or required. Another major issue for the adult learner is sometimes their lack of confidence to make mistakes. It is them important for me as the teacher to create a comfortable space for the student to make theses mistakes in order to learn from them. Adults also require some extra motivation to learn as they have busy work schedules and thus the teacher needs to not only provide solid motivation, but also use the time allocated to the lesson to cover all of the needs to be met as per the adults requests.
